The crew at Conch Charters BVI Ltd., a 1987-founded, family-run, bareboat and crewed yacht charter company based at the Fort Burt Marina in Road Town, Tortola, BVI, has been busy while the territory has been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These efforts will pay off when on December 1 the territory will re-open its borders to international visitors.

“We have taken advantage of the downtime to make sure that our yachts, base, sales and safety protocols are in top condition for when we do re-open and start greeting our charter guests,” says Cindy Chestnut, who co-owns the company with husband Brian. “Our office has been improved to accommodate clients with a safer and better layout.  We have improved our Boat-ique, adding more items that our charterers may have forgotten to bring. Our shoreside bathroom shower and head facilities have been redecorated and painted.”

The marine industry through the Marine Association of the BVI in conjunction with the BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association has worked together to put proposals forward to the BVI Government on workable protocols for visitor re-entry that keeps visitors and residents safe.

“The BVI Government has done an excellent job keeping the number of COVID-19 infections to an absolute minimum. Meanwhile, enjoy a Painkiller until the BVI opens and we welcome you back to our beautiful islands,” says Chestnut. conchcharters.com
